Patient reviews
What patients say about Eye Surgery Clinic
Eye Surgery Clinic is a free information and introduction service: you tell us what you need, and if a consultant-led clinic we work with covers your area and treatment, it contacts you. These reviews come from patients whose clinic told us they had been seen. Every one of them is invited once, in the same words, and nobody is paid or rewarded.
No reviews yet. The first invitations go out after the clinics confirm that patients have been seen, so this page fills slowly and honestly.
How we collect and check reviews
This is our published policy, written to meet the Competition and Markets Authority's guidance on consumer reviews under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.
- Who is asked. Every patient whose clinic records in our partner area that a consultation or treatment was booked is sent the same single email, about two to four weeks later, plus one reminder. We never choose who to ask by how happy we think they are, and we never ask anyone to change a score.
- No incentives. Nobody is paid, discounted or rewarded for a review, and no clinic can pay to have a review shown, hidden or moved.
- One review per enquiry. Each link works once and only for the patient it was sent to; we keep the enquiry it belongs to, the date, the consent given and the sender's IP address, so every review can be traced to a real introduction.
- Checked by a person. Every review is read before it appears. We remove or decline only a review that is not about a real visit, that names other people, that is unlawful, or that is about a medical complaint, which belongs with the clinic's own complaints procedure. A low score is never a reason.
- Good and bad, unedited. We do not edit what patients write and we show the average of all approved reviews, not a selection. Our own test entries are never shown.
- Two ratings, kept apart. The rating of Eye Surgery Clinic is about our website and introduction. The optional rating of the clinic visit is shown on that clinic's page only with the patient's explicit consent, because it says they were a patient there.
- Your rights. A patient can ask for their review to be changed or removed at any time through the contact page. Anyone who believes a review is fake or breaks these rules can report it the same way; we investigate and act on every report.
Reviews of Eye Surgery Clinic are shown here as plain text. Reviews of a clinic carry review mark-up on that clinic's page, where the clinic, not Eye Surgery Clinic, is the business being reviewed.
