What is monovision laser eye surgery?
From your mid-forties, presbyopia sets in: the eye's natural lens stiffens and near focus becomes difficult, which is why reading glasses become necessary. Monovision laser surgery addresses this by deliberately correcting your two eyes for different distances — the dominant eye for distance and the non-dominant eye for near. Your brain learns to use whichever eye gives the clearer image, reducing dependence on glasses for everyday tasks.
Monovision can be created using LASIK, LASEK/PRK, or the refined PRESBYOND laser blended vision platform, which creates a smoother "blend zone" between the eyes that many patients find easier to adapt to than traditional monovision.
Monovision laser eye surgery cost
Precision Vision London publishes a starting price per eye for each laser treatment and says every price is all-inclusive. For both eyes it says to double the per-eye price.
