About Mr Mfazo Hove
Mr Hove qualified in medicine at the University of Liverpool in 2002 with First Class Honours, and went on to spend six and a half years at Moorfields Eye Hospital across research, specialist training and fellowship posts. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine (MD) by the University of Liverpool in 2013 for research into multifocal intraocular lenses carried out at Moorfields and the Institute of Ophthalmology.
He held a substantive NHS consultant post at Western Eye Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital, part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, from 2017 until 2022, and now works full time in private practice. He founded Blue Fin Vision to provide consultant-delivered eye care in which the surgeon who assesses a patient is the surgeon who operates. He is a Key Opinion Leader for ZEISS Medical Technology in cataract and refractive surgery, and lectures at international ophthalmic meetings.
