Private blepharoplasty costs from £2,350 at Eye Surgery Clinic for a single upper eyelid. Both upper eyelids (the most commonly chosen option) are £3,950, both lower eyelids are £4,950, and a combined upper-and-lower eyelid lift is £7,000. Every price is all-inclusive of your consultant oculoplastic surgeon, the theatre, the surgery and your aftercare, and the procedure is performed under local anaesthetic with sedation.
Blepharoplasty prices
The price depends on which eyelids are treated. Lower-lid procedures are performed bilaterally for symmetry. Your exact plan and confirmed price are agreed with your surgeon at your consultation.
If your main concern is a drooping lid edge rather than excess skin, the right procedure may be ptosis surgery instead — see ptosis surgery pricing. Blepharoplasty sits within our wider oculoplastic surgery service.
Not sure which eyelids need treating? A consultation includes the assessment and advice you need to choose the right plan with confidence.
Book a blepharoplasty consultationWhat’s included in the price
Our blepharoplasty prices are fixed and all-inclusive, so there are no surprises. Each package covers:
- Your consultant oculoplastic surgeon’s fees for the operation
- The theatre and facility fees for your day-case procedure
- Local anaesthetic with sedation and the care team on the day
- All surgical consumables used during your surgery
- All routine post-operative appointments and aftercare
- A clear recovery plan to take home
Most patients return to non-physical work within 7–10 days. Fine scars are placed in the natural skin creases and fade over the following months.
0% finance options
You don’t have to pay for surgery all at once. We offer interest-free (0% APR) finance that lets you spread the cost over manageable monthly instalments, subject to status. For example, a £3,950 bilateral upper blepharoplasty can be spread over monthly payments with no interest. Full details and an application are on our finance page.
Using private medical insurance
Cosmetic eyelid surgery is not usually covered by private medical insurance. However, an upper blepharoplasty performed for a functional reason — where overhanging lid skin obstructs the upper visual field — may be eligible with the right documentation and pre-authorisation. We will tell you honestly whether your case is functional or cosmetic. See our guidance for insured patients for how to arrange cover.
