What happens during EVO ICL surgery

EVO ICL surgery is a quick day-case procedure performed under local anaesthetic eye drops. You stay awake and feel no pain — both eyes are usually treated in the same visit.

1. Numbing drops are placed in the eye and the surface is cleaned with sterile solution.
2. A tiny, self-sealing incision is made at the edge of the cornea — no tissue is removed.
3. The folded EVO ICL is gently inserted and positioned behind the iris, in front of your natural lens.
4. The lens unfolds and settles into place; its central port allows fluid to flow naturally, so no separate iridotomy is needed.
